The nylon fibers within SG2 feature a uniquely flat profile, which reduces the amount of rubber between fibers. Improving the fiber-to-rubber ratio increases puncture resistance, reduces weight and improves the overall liveliness of a tire. While SG2 is primarily a puncture protection layer, its tightly woven fibers also improve air retention to better maintain pressure between rides. Traditional black sidewalls tend to blend in with the components and wheels of a bike and may look sleeker in the eyes of some riders. Our engineers and marketing team are constantly working towards reducing the amount of packaging our products requiring, while still providing you with the necessary information to make an informed purchasing decision. It's no small task, but minimizing the total amount of packaging has become an integral part of product development. Judge is our rowdiest rear tire…for loose, sketchy descents. Centerline knob groups alternate between long and wide to pair hard braking traction with the rolling efficiency you demand of a rear tire. Burly outer knobs provide the support needed to keep them digging while slapping berms or spraying loam. We optimized the Judge for wide rims to provide a flatter tire profile that makes the outer knobs easy to find while cornering. Judge features a flatter tire profile than most other tires, which makes it easier to reach the outer knobs when cornering. The Judge keeps everything in order, whether dry and loose or wet and sloppy. SG1 puncture protection runs under the tread cap and has extended bead protection. Big Knobs, Big Sipes Massive knobs in every area of the tread prove that the Judge prioritzes traction above all else. Long, thick knobs till through rocky terrain without folding under heavy cornering forces. Each knob features full-length siping to essentially double the amount of knob edges contacting the trail.
